Aquatastic

Damn, thats a rubbish name for a title…  Anyway I was out on Compton beach last week, and after a lack of any decent photos I went back to shooting some close-up-water-action shots, which means getting as close to the water as possible. Some people may balk at the idea of having expensive electronics inches away from the briney blue, but I am not one of them. Yes,  I did get a little too close on more than one occasion, and my camera did get a little dunked, but it was only for a second and it all still works. Good old Nikon Sealing :-)

In other news,  I decided to put my GCSE Electronics to use and build myself a power pack for my Flashes.  Results to come as I’m trying to organise two more shoots before I head back to uni next week, as well as make a half decent start on our next project…

Happy New Year

I’ve been rather slack on the updates recently as I’ve had other things that have eaten into my christmas plans, so I havn’t taken nearly enough photos recently. Luckily today I was down the beach just as the light got good and took a few photos of the tiny but fairly clean, 2-3ft break… nothing outstanding, but it was nice to finaly take some photos.

Back to B-Town tomorrow for the start of the new term… woo.

D200, 100-300mm, er… light… water…

Plans for the new year include taking some decent photos, getting new site up and running and all that. I have a few projects in the pipeline, hopefully I can get at least two of them done in the coming months.

Heres to 2009…
